Do I need an architect?
A lot depends on your situation. We have access to thousands home plans and can modify them to fit your situation. The best thing to do is set up a meeting with our team. During that first consultation we will discuss with you weather involving an architect is the right move in your situation. An architect can often be a valuable member of the home design team. If it is decided that involving an architect makes sense in your situation we have several in the area that we work with and we will be glad to bring them onto the team for your project. Whether you have a an architect involved or not Our team of estimators, Designers and builders stays involved to make sure you get the best value for your investment.
Should I have a plan before purchasing land?
Most of the time we can modify any plan to fit just about any building site. Occasionally a site will require some vary specific features. It is never to early to start looking at plans but just stay flexible. One of the first things we do when we meet with you for the first time is meet on the property that you have in mind and begin to think about how we can build a home on that site that will be the home of your dreams.
Should I get pre-approved for a construction loan before choosing a house plan?
If you plan to finance a portion of your new home it is a good idea to begin that process as early as possible. Once you have a good idea on what you will qualify for then we can help you figure out what you will be able to build. And together we can design a home around your budget.
